On June 11, 2015, that is the question posed by Founding Member Frank Andreou to the jury during closing argument in Buckingham v. Ali, after the patient sought medical treatment costing less than $10,000 for one thing and the plaintiff sought payment of $1,125,000 for something entirely different. Frank deftly weaved this discrepancy into the heart of the defense of the case and recommended that the jury award no more than $25,000. The jury was clearly impressed with Frank’s presentation and believed that even he was being too charitable based on his presentation of the actual evidence and awarded only $8,000! Great job, Frank.
